Equipment financing for your next investment
Put a machine, vehicle or business system to work while preserving cash for operations. Start with a specific quote and a realistic estimate of what the equipment can earn or save.
No account to apply · No upfront fees · No obligation to accept
Understand the cost and commitments
- Compare the down payment, fees, total repayment and any end-of-term purchase payment.
- Ask who owns the equipment during the agreement and what collateral or guarantees are required.
- Include installation, training, maintenance and downtime in the budget. Check which costs can be financed.
Have written terms already? Compare two offers or use the financing cost calculator for fixed-payment estimates. These tools do not model every credit line, lease or revenue-based agreement.
A situation to plan for
Put the payment in context
Illustrative example, not a funded customer result.
A restaurant replaces refrigeration during a quieter month. The budget includes delivery, installation and lost trading time. Compare the proposed payment with cash flow in that quiet month, rather than assuming peak sales all year.
Plan your working capital →What funding sources review
Review depends on the business, credit, cash flow and the equipment’s value, age and condition. New and used equipment may be considered; eligible assets and down payments vary by provider.
Starting an application does not itself pull credit. Read the authorization before signing and ask your advisor what happens next.
Prepare for a conversation
- An itemized vendor quote, including installation and related costs
- Recent business bank statements (start with four months)
- Business and ownership details and existing financing obligations
Common questions
Can used equipment be financed?
Some programs consider used equipment. Age, condition, mileage where relevant, seller and purchase price affect the review. Provide the actual quote.
Will I need a down payment?
Some programs may finance the full eligible cost, while others require a down payment. Taxes, fees and installation may be treated separately. Confirm your total cash requirement in writing.
Is this a loan or a lease?
Different structures can be available. Ownership, tax treatment and end-of-term obligations differ. Ask your advisor to explain the proposed structure and consult your tax professional about your circumstances.
